COUNTRY SENSATION JO DEE MESSINA TO PERFORM AT THE PRESIDENT'S DINNER JUNE 13TH

 

June 6, 2007 – Multi-platinum recording artist Jo Dee Messina is set to wow the politicians at the 2007 President’s Dinner, taking place Wednesday, June 13th at the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C.. Jo Dee will open the dinner by singing the National Anthem for the audience of roughly 5,000, which will include President George W. Bush as well as members of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. Jo Dee will continue to impress the audience following the dinner with a forty-five minute performance of some of her hits as well as songs off of her latest certified Gold album Delicious Surprise. She will also have the opportunity to meet President Bush as well as sit at the head table along with political dignitaries.

The celebration of America’s music grows even larger as artists continue to join the lineup for 2007 CMA Music Festival, Thursday-Sunday, June 7-10 in Downtown Nashville. They don't call it Country Thunder for nothing. An annual, four-day camp-out near Florence that brings nearly 60,000 music fans together in honky-tonk bliss, the event showcases more than 50 performances by country's hottest stars and packs enough energy to rattle a few windows.

"I just love the whole festival environment," says Jo Dee Messina, one of more than 30 acts performing at the event.
"I always swear that I'm gonna do that one day - go to a four-day festival and just camp out," she says, laughing.

COUNTRY STAR JO DEE MESSINA TO HIT THE STAGE AND THE SLOPES AT THE 21st NATIONAL DISABLED VETERANS WINTER SPORTS CLINIC

 

March 29, 2007- Multi-platinum recording artist Jo Dee Messina is set to participate in the 21st National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in Snowmass Village, Colorado. The week long event, which will kick off April 1st, will be highlighted by Jo Dee’s performance Thursday, April 5th at the Snowmass Convention Center, where she will perform some of her greatest hits as well as songs off her latest Gold album Delicious Surprise. Jo Dee will be on hand for a few days to help out with the clinic.

A star studded concert took place at 3rd & Lindsley, hosted by Danielle Peck to benefit the Safe Haven Family Shelter. Danielle's friends were out in full force and showed fans a great time! Surprise guest Jo Dee Messina joined Carolyn Dawn Johnson on stage to perform Jo Dee's single "Down Time" for an enthusiastic crowed. Carolyn who wrote the song said that they had never before had a chance to sing the song together on stage. Jo Dee also helped her friend Danielle introduce a few of the evenings performers. JDM DESIGNS BIRDHOUSE FOR THE 6TH ANNUAL BIRDHOUSE THING

 

March 8, 2007- Jo Dee Messina has created a very personal birdhouse for auction in the 6th Annual Birdhouse Thing. The birdhouse was designed by Jo Dee with her autograph on the top. Proceeds for this auction benefit The W.O. Smith Music School, a non-profit educational institution created for the purpose of making quality music instruction available to talented, interested, and deserving children from low-income families. March 7, 2007- Country superstar Jo Dee Messina will appear on the Sunday, March 11th episode of ABC’s hit show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”, where the Tipton-Smith family from Waleska, Georgia will be getting a new home. During the show, which was taped January 17th, Jo Dee performed ‘Heaven Was Needing A Hero,’ in honor of 16 year old Ransom Tipton-Smith who lost his life in a car accident May 6, 2005. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” airs at 8pm EST (check local listings) on ABC.

The eight day cruise embarks on February 3rd aboard Carnival’s “Spirit” cruise ship. While on the cruise Jo Dee, along with fellow country artists Phil Vassar and Jack Ingram, will entertain passengers by performing some of her hits as well as songs off of her latest certified Gold album Delicious Surprise.

Sound & Speed, benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum charities and Victory Junction Gang Camp, was held in Nashville on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 12-13). Events included a private VIP gala that featured dinner, an exclusive auction of celebrity memorabilia and performances by Martina McBride, Lonestar and BeBe Winans. NASCAR's Kyle Petty and campers from Victory Junction Gang also performed. Saturday's activities included autograph sessions, Q&A sessions and displays of show cars. NASHVILLE, Tenn. Country star Jo Dee Messina is slated to headline the festivities following Governor Bredesen's second inauguration January 20th.

Messina, whose hits include "Bring on the Rain" and "I'm Alright," is scheduled to perform at the governor's Pioneer Ball (at the Wildhorse Saloon).

Bredesen and first lady Andrea Conte (KAHN'tee) will kick off the event with the traditional first dance to "Tennessee Waltz."Bredesen's swearing in will be held in front of the state Capitol at eleven a-m C-S-T.
