A LETTER FROM JDM - TRAINING UPDATE
By admincw on Sep 28, 2007 | In news, fitness
Dave and I finished our training today. We had a 2 mile run this morning. My right leg is doing "OK". I am hoping over the next few days it will fully heal. I've been doing a lot of stretching in hopes that it will loosen up in time for the marathon.
We leave tonight for a show in Tulsa, OK. We return home Friday to head to Chicago.
Follow up:
My brother is bringing his wife and my nephew to Chicago. It's going to be exciting. We are going to head to "Little Italy" while we are in town. My brother thought, that because his wife is actually from Italy, that she would get a kick out of it. My Dad and his wife are also flying in to cheer us on. My Dad was a football coach for years. A tough one. I told him he wasn't allowed to "coach" me. He's only allowed to be my Dad cheering me on. ;-)
Over all I am a bit nervous heading into Chicago. If I can start the race without injury then I will be a bit more confident at the start line.
Wish me luck. Thanks for your letters and support. I will let you know how things turn out. I get my "chip" on Saturday. You all will be able to track my progress if you want. Check back here to see how.
Have a Great weekend
Jo Dee
