Multi-platinum country star Jo Dee Messina, who has racked up nine #1 singles from her five Curb Records studio albums, has set dates for her "Music Room Series" tour. The unique, intimate five-week concert tour will kick off in Verona, New York on April 16, 2009.

The Music Room Series tour is centered around Jo Dee's music and the stories behind hits like "Heads Carolina, Tails California," "I'm Alright," "Bye Bye," "Bring On The Rain" and more.

The stage will resemble the music room at her home where many of her popular songs came to life. The simple, acoustic performances will give concert goers a look the songs' selection process and songwriting that went into the records that fans have come to know and love.

The tour will also give fans a chance to see a side of Jo Dee that is rarely seen in her full band shows. She will reveal her songwriter side, as she performs songs that have a story close to her heart but have yet to be recorded. She will also be taking questions and requests from the audience, guaranteeing that no two shows will be alike.

"People have known my music for years," said Jo Dee. "I wanted to use this tour to give folks the opportunity to get to know me on a more personal level. I'm leaving out the fancy production and using the show time to 'visit' with the audience for a while - as if they were to come to the house and sit with me in my music room. I think it will be a lot of fun. Instead of going to see a show, the audience will be a part of a show".

Booked by The William Morris Agency, the "Music Room Series" will be out for five weeks before Messina kicks off full band performances to support the release of her new single, "Shine," and her 2009 Album Unmistakable.
