JO DE MESSINA TO HOST 'NIGHT OF NOSTALGIA' IN NASHVILLE

CURB RECORDS/NASHVILLE artist JO DEE MESSINA will host a “NIGHT OF NOSTALGIA” on SATURDAY MARCH 3rd, at 7p (CT) in NASHVILLE. The casino night will be held at the MAXWELL HOUSE HOTEL and will raise money for the non-profit HOLY TRINITY MONTESSORI SCHOOL.” MESSINA is working closely with the school to build a 6,000-square-foot school for students up through third grade, and possibly fifth, offering an affordable education.
MESSINA said, “This isn’t about just a cause I believe in or the latest celebrity charity. I want this campaign to show that even in a time when people feel there is little hope, that there IS hope and dreams still DO come true. I chose it because we need people from all over to carry us with their support to make this dream come true.”

The 6 lbs., 13 oz. bundle of joy was apparently anxious to meet his family. He came early, as doctors discovered Jo Dee was in labor during a routine check-up. "I had gone to my doctor directly following a photo shoot. Full makeup. Tall boots. The works," Jo Dee writes on her blog. "I was so not planning on having a baby that afternoon."

Well, I guess the baby “dropped”. I went in for my weekly checkup yesterday and never made it home. I hadn’t been feeling so good, as I mentioned in my last blog. I told my Dr . As it turned out, I had been in labor for a little over a day. Contractions were now 3-5 minutes apart.
It was supposed to be a routine check up. My Dr told me to check into hospital across the street. I said, “tomorrow? Later today ?” He said “Now”. I had gone to my Drs directly following a photo shoot. Full make up. Tall boots. The works. I was so not planning on having a baby that afternoon. I didn’t have my bag packed. No camera, except for the one one my phone. Nothing in preparation for having a baby. More!

Jo Dee Messina and her husband Chris Deffenbaugh welcomed their second son into the world on Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 11). Jonah Christopher Deffenbaugh was born at a Nashville hospital at 2:43 PM, weighing 6 lbs., 13 oz. He joins three-year-old big brother Noah.
"Noah couldn't wait to hold his little brother," Jo Dee reports. "He's so good with him. God has blessed us so much."
